Vancouver, BC – October 23, 2026 - TheNewswire – Uranium One Mining Corp. ("Uranium One" or the "Company") (UUU: CSE | UUUFF: OTCID | SL51: Frankfurt) is pleased to announce that it has engaged Adrian Huerta Ruiz as a Technical Advisor focused on the Company’s uranium exploration interests in Saskatchewan’s Athabasca Basin.
About Huerta Ruiz, CPG
Mr. Huerta Ruiz is an experienced exploration geologist and Certified Professional Geologist (CPG) with the American Institute of Professional Geologists (AIPG), bringing more than 14 years of technical and operational experience in mineral exploration and mining.
Based in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Mr. Huerta Ruiz has direct experience working on uranium exploration projects in the Athabasca Basin, including geological core logging and sampling of sandstone- and basement-hosted uranium systems. His expertise encompasses exploration program management, drill planning, geological mapping, geological interpretation, and quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures.
In his role as Technical Advisor to Uranium One Mining Corp., Mr. Huerta Ruiz is expected to provide technical guidance and support the evaluation, planning and prioritization of exploration activities across the Company's Athabasca Basin uranium portfolio, including preparations for its upcoming field exploration season.
“We are pleased to have Adrian joining the Uranium One team,” said Larry Segerstrom, Director and P.Geo. “His experience adds to our technical strength as the Company prepares for its maiden exploration season in the Athabasca Basin. We look forward to his input as we evaluate our properties and set priorities for fieldwork.”
Uranium One’s Athabasca Basin Portfolio
The Company’s portfolio comprises three highly prospective uranium projects in Saskatchewan’s Athabasca Basin, which is widely recognized as the world’s premier jurisdiction for high-grade uranium deposits. These are the Pasfield Lake, Quark, and Nucleon projects.
Pasfield Lake Project, Athabasca Basin
The Pasfield Lake Project is Uranium One’s flagship Canadian uranium exploration asset, encompassing approximately 4,400 hectares in Saskatchewan’s eastern Athabasca Basin. Strategically located approximately 60 kilometres northwest of Cameco’s Cigar Lake Mine, the project occupies a highly prospective geological setting where favourable basement rocks, major regional fault systems, and historical exploration results combine to create an exceptional exploration opportunity.
Historical work completed by previous operators has generated an extensive technical database, including airborne geophysical surveys, Audio Magnetotelluric (AMT) surveys, gravity surveys, geochemistry, and diamond drilling. This comprehensive dataset provides Uranium One with a strong foundation to apply modern exploration techniques and advanced targeting methods in the search for a significant uranium discovery.
Quark Uranium Claim Group – Athabasca Basin
The Quark Project consists of a large, contiguous land package of approximately 28,746 hectares (71,030 acres), situated within the highly productive Western Wollaston Domain and Wollaston–Mudjatik Transition Zone—host to the majority of Canada’s past and present uranium mines.
Positioned adjacent to and along trend with major industry operators including Orano Canada and Fission Uranium, Quark benefits from proximity to established infrastructure, proven mineralization corridors, and active exploration success.
Nucleon Claim Group
The Nucleon Uranium Project consists of seven exploration-stage mineral claims totaling approximately 23,424.90 hectares located in northern Saskatchewan, Canada, within the Athabasca Basin.
The project is organized into four prospective exploration areas situated along key uranium discovery corridors in the Basin.
The Athabasca Basin hosts some of the highest-grade uranium deposits in the world and accounts for a significant portion of global uranium supply, making it one of the most important uranium-producing regions internationally.
The Nucleon claims are positioned within an active uranium exploration district surrounded by major discoveries and development projects, including those operated by:
-
NexGen Energy (Arrow deposit)
-
Fission Uranium (Patterson Lake South deposit)
-
Denison Mines
-
Cameco
This strategic location places the project within a highly prospective geological corridor known for multiple major uranium discoveries.
Mineralization on nearby properties or at nearby mines is not necessarily indicative of mineralization on Uranium One’s properties.
